Hello :)
This is my new demo video EP, "the Pain sessions". I made an accompanying video (^^link above^^) for the whole thing that follows the arc of certain characters (Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Foghorn Leghorn from Looney Tunes, Eleanor Powell and Fred Astaire dancing 'Begin the Beguine', various woodland creatures from Disney's Silly Symphonies, old speed racers) and all the mishaps they run into along their different paths in their own fictional worlds. There's general themes of movement, conflict, false realities, silly hope, and destruction that're consistent throughout the whole mad video that never quite resolves itself.
I wrote and recorded all the songs together as a comprehensive audio track, so each one flows into the other as one chunk. Pink Floyd comes to mind as the biggest inspiration for wanting to do something like that. I still broke them down into differing songs so as to not overwhelm listeners with a 14 minute acoustic assault . But that's there for people too, visuals in tow. I guess you could call this peculiar project a 'series' of songs, just like a series of paintings that have a common unifying theme throughout each composition, but in this case I have assembled a series of little worldly nothings all having it out for each other to win their own place in their own fictional universe. Seems fitting :/
